ANYBODY'S NIGHTMARE

The Sheila Bowler Story

Written by Angela and Tim Devlin

366 pages

This is the absolutely disgraceful story of how Sheila, a 63 year old music teacher, came to be charged and imprisoned for the murder of Aunt Flo. No-one could have been a more upstanding pillar of society than Sheila. A collector for the NSPCC and an organiser along with her late husband of annual Poppy Day collections she was the most unlikely person to be charged and convicted of murder.

Known for her acts of kindness this book shows how easy it would be for any of us to be in this position. Praise must be given to the authors for not only writing this book but also leading the campaign that eventually brought a re-trial and acquittal.
