Geoffrey recalls legal cases and aspects of law and injustice over a 30 year period. The trials he recalls and his inside knowledge makes this book a real eye-opener. He has appeared as council in many well publicised cases in Britain, the Commonwealth, at the European Court of Human Rights and conducted missions for the Bar and Amnesty International.

He starts the preface to this book with a little tale from Vietnam. “One day a farmer vanished. The local party chief had the farmer’s enemy arrested and executed for murder. Years later the farmer was found attending ducks in another village.” (Sounds like British justice to me!)

If I was ever charged with a serious crime I would want this man on my side.
