During the writing of this book, I have relived my nightmare. Not all of it was bad - recounting my marriage to Les brought me great happiness but at times I have had to stop writing for a while because of the pain it caused me. Sometimes I wondered why I was putting myself through it. I think the answer is evident within these pages.

Wakefield prison certainly opened my eyes in a big way. I would never have believed that humans could be treated as badly as they were in that hell-hole. Nothing can describe how I felt at the way I was treated in that prison. I often wonder how they feel now that I am back where I belong and I hope no other people are suffering what I went through. Wakefield still gives me horrendous nightmares and I have nothing but bad memories of that place.
